Every season is fantastic in the Wye Valley, early mornings with mist on the water or the golds and reds of Autumn colours create a photographer’s paradise. With Peregrine Falcons, Buzzards, Kingfishers, Otters, Leaping Salmon, Herons, Deer, Wild Boar and much more to photgraph it’s a fantastic experience.
As the trip is tailored towards photographers, be it those with good cameras and special lenses or just a mobile phone, we want you to take some amazing shots on the day! You will have experienced Wildlife River Guides to ensure your safety on the river and to show you where to spot wildlife.
You will be in a raft which is two canadian canoes attached together in order to provide an incredibly stable craft for taking pictures. (Please note, we can do as much as possible to minimise the risk to equipment, but any expensive equipment is taken at your own risk on the river.)

Your Wye Valley Photographic adventure starts with you meeting us at Kerne Bridge near Goodrich Castle and once we've shaken hands and done the introductions we will be getting you kitted out for the morning with buoyancy aids, dry bags or barrels for whatever you wish to take with you and then a paddle and safety briefing before we are off to Kerne Bridge just below Goodrich Castle to begin the paddle.
Accompanied by our highly experienced river guides your trip takes you through some magnificent scenery following the river as it meanders down through the spectacular Wye Valley. The river passes under the well renowned view point of Symonds Yat Rock, which is also famous for its peregrine falcons, before reaching Symonds Yat for a spot of lunch.
After lunch you will be taken into the fantastic Forest of Dean, to wander through the forest along the Wye Gorge to take in great views and hopefully spot some deer or maybe even wild boar, for that fantastic once in a lifetime shot!
The walk will be taking in the unique landscape of the Forest of Dean including Ancient Sites and amazing Treescapes within the forest and above the Wye Valley.
