Autumn is a magical time of year here in the Forest of Dean, gold and red line the river and spread throughout the forest, the area comes to life as if welcoming the darker evenings and wintry months to come. Its a great time of year to get out on the water and cruise through the stunning scenery for a few hours. The route we take is probably the most popular half day trip from Kerne Bridge to Symonds Yat which is an awesome route running under Yat Rock view point and taking about 2.5 hours to complete on the water so it's a nice relaxing meeting time of 10am at Meet Point B, we take buses up to Kerne Bridge and paddle back to the cars.
We provide everything you need (including a glass of hot mulled wine) including barrels to keep you valuables dry and safe.
Our guides are the best in the area and will take care of you and teach you a few paddling techniques on route.
The trip is run in open canoes and although we can book odd numbers of people in as we have 3 person canoes you will need to book more than 2 persons at a time, we can also raft canoes together for those who prefer to rule out the option of a swim but you must have at least 4 persons in your group to do this.
